A Human Being Must Learn This

“A human being must learn at a very young age how to connect to other human beings.”

A Human Being Must Learn This
Inspiring Connection - Rita Mae Brown Quote

Learning to connect with other people can feel extra difficult when you sense you don't fit into the category of "normal," which I think would be better referred to as "common." The older we get, the more categories of "different" we come to realize exist. I think it's "normal" to not feel "normal." Many of us grew up feeling out of sync with the world around us, hiding parts of ourselves to fit in, and being Queer may have been only one aspect of your difference. For a lot of us, real connection didn't happen until we found our people—the ones who saw us for who we truly are and celebrated it. That’s the magic of Queer connection. It’s in the laughter of friends who know your heart, the support of a community that feels like home, and the love that makes you believe in yourself. Connection isn’t just something we learn—it’s a place where we feel pure joy!
