Not always Mark! Joy is often magnified when shared - it lights up in laughter, connection, and moments of celebration with others. But it’s also important to remember that joy is not limited to shared experiences. Joy can be found in solitude: in the beauty of a sunset, a day working on your art, or the quiet pride of a personal accomplishment. Being a Joyful Queer means embracing joy in all its forms - shared or solitary - because joy is not about comparison; it’s about the moments that make us feel alive. Whether we share it with others or hold it close to ourselves, joy is ours to experience and celebrate.
